Qualifying Conditions

Nueropathy results when an individuals nerve/s pain receptors send the wrong pain signals to the brain in a dysfunctional way. There are many causes of neuropathy some causes included but not limited to idiopathic (unknown), aging, as we age sometimes our nerves begin to fail, diabetes,, vascular disease, trauma and injury, autoimmune and medication induced.

How does cannabis treat neuropathy? Recent studies demonstrate that cannabis helps with pain reduction, better sleep and improved over all function even when traditional treatments have failed to provide desired relief.

What are some of the symptoms of neuropathy?

- Most frequently manifested in the extremities, hands and feet. However may be localized to skin, face and just about any part of our body.

- Symptoms may include tingling, numbness which may present at night. During the daytime and may be continuous at all times during the day and night.

- There may be muscle debility and spasms which result in loss of function causing falls and lack of coordination and pain. This may result in an individual to stop participating and withdraw from function and activities he or She wishes to enjoy.

- There may be loss of sensation to touch and pain. This may result in further injury when pain signals are not sending alarming signals warning the individual that something is wrong.

- Autonomic nerve dysfunction, this may be manifested in temperature dysfunction, blood pressure irregularity and bowel dysfunction.

Overview

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that's triggered by a terrifying event — either experiencing it or witnessing it. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares and severe anxiety, as well as uncontrollable thoughts about the event. Most people who go through traumatic events may have temporary difficulty adjusting and coping, but with time and good self-care, they usually get better. With PTSD the symptoms should be present for a minimum of 30 days. Getting effective treatment after PTSD symptoms develop can be critical to reduce symptoms, improve function and help the healing process.

Symptoms

Post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms may start soon after a traumatic event, but sometimes symptoms may not appear until years after the event. These symptoms cause significant problems in social or work situations and in relationships. They can also interfere with your ability to go about your normal daily tasks. PTSD symptoms generally include intrusive memories, avoidance, negative changes in thinking and mood, and changes in physical and emotional reactions. Symptoms can vary over time or vary from person to person and may be triggered by environmental and social variables

With a treatment of Cannabis is a 1:1 ratio, 1 part CBD with 1 Part THC.

Additional benefits may be achieved with but not limited to Terpenoids Limonene, Alpha-pinene, Linalool and Myrcene.

Overview

A muscle contracture is an involuntary contraction of one or more of your muscles. If you've ever experienced a charlie horse or muscle cramp these can cause severe pain. Though muscle cramps are generally harmless, muscle contractures can make it impossible or difficult to use the affected muscle.

Symptoms

Some of the most common forms of muscle contracture may result after a cerebrovascular event or deformity to the spine, muscle dysfunction from nerve injury or disease.

Treatment for muscle spasticity-related symptoms may be provided in a 4:1, 3:1,2:1 or 1:1 CBD/THC ratio product.

Overview

A seizure is a sudden, uncontrolled electrical disturbance in the brain. It can cause changes in your behavior, movements or feelings, and in levels of consciousness. Having two or more seizures at least 24 hours apart that aren't brought on by an identifiable cause is generally considered to be epilepsy.

There are many types of seizures, which range in symptoms and severity. Seizure types vary by where in the brain they begin and how far they spread. Most seizures last from 30 seconds to two minutes. A seizure that lasts longer than five minutes is a medical emergency.

Seizures are more common than you might think. Seizures can happen after a stroke, a closed head injury, an infection such as meningitis or another illness. Many times, though, the cause of a seizure is unknown.

Most seizure disorders can be controlled with medication, but management of seizures can still have a significant impact on your daily life. The good news is that you can work with your doctor to balance seizure control and medication side effects.

Treatment may be provided with a 20:1 CBD/THC ratio that appears to reduce frequency in some individuals.

Overview

Nerves send messages from the brain and spinal cord to the rest of the body. They help do things such as sense that the feet are cold and move the body's muscles for walking. Peripheral nerves are made of fibers called axons that are insulated by surrounding tissues.

Peripheral nerves are fragile and easily damaged. A nerve injury can affect the brain's ability to communicate with muscles and organs. Damage to the peripheral nerves is called peripheral neuropathy.

It's important to get medical care for a peripheral nerve injury as soon as possible. Early diagnosis and treatment may prevent complications and permanent damage.<

Symptoms

With a nerve injury, you may experience symptoms that range from mild to seriously limiting your daily activities. Your symptoms often depend on which nerve fibers are damaged:

- Motor nerves. These nerves regulate all the muscles under your conscious control, such as those used for walking, talking and holding objects. Damage to these nerves is typically associated with muscle weakness, painful cramps and uncontrollable muscle twitching.

- Sensory nerves. Because these nerves relay information about touch, temperature and pain, you may experience a variety of symptoms. These include numbness or tingling in the hands or feet. You may have trouble sensing pain or changes in temperature, walking, keeping your balance with your eyes closed, or fastening buttons.

- Autonomic (aw-tuh-NOM-ik) nerves. This group of nerves regulates activities that are not controlled consciously, such as breathing, heart and thyroid function, and digesting food. Symptoms may include excessive sweating, changes in blood pressure, the inability to tolerate heat and gastrointestinal symptoms.

- Central nervous system. All dementia included but not limited to Alzhiemers, Vascular dementia and Parkinsonism.

You may experience a range of symptoms because many peripheral nerve injuries affect more than one type of nerve fiber.

Cancer and Marijuana

A number of studies have shown that medical marijuana may help in managing the following:

Pain. Medical Cannabis may be helpful for the management of cancer-related pain when conventional therapies are ineffective or are causing adverse effects. For patients with severe cancer pain, opioids are still considered the standard of treatment, but simultaneous use of marijuana may decrease pain signals in the brain, with additional anti-inflammatory properties.

Neuropathy.Neuropathy, or nerve damage, is a feeling of weakness, numbness, tingling or burning in the hands and/or feet. It is a common side effect of chemotherapy and other cancer treatments. Studies on animals have demonstrated that cannabinoids can be helpful in relieving some of the symptoms of nerve damage. However, small studies involving patients looking into varied combinations of THC and CBD have returned mixed results.

Nausea and vomiting. Many patients experience nausea and vomiting as a side effect of chemotherapy. Dronabinol and nabilone are synthetic cannabinoids FDA approved for the treatment of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting. Past studies have only looked at the use of oral cannabinoids rather than other forms of marijuana such as smoking, vaping or oral sprays. This is also an area that may need to be researched more.

Appetite and weight loss.Limited studies have demonstrated that THC stimulates appetite and helps to slow down weight loss in patients with advanced cancer. However, it was not considered more effective than conventional treatment.

Still, several states have approved the use of medical marijuana for the treatment of cancer-related anorexia (the medical term for loss of appetite) and/or cachexia (wasting away of the body resulting from severe chronic illness).

Treatment recommendations with Cannabis is a 1:1 ratio, 1 part CBD with 1 Part THC.

Overview

Autism spectrum disorder is a condition related to brain development that impacts how a person perceives and socializes with others, causing problems in social interaction and communication. The disorder also includes limited and repetitive patterns of behavior. The term "spectrum" in autism spectrum disorder refers to the wide range of symptoms and severity.

Autism spectrum disorder includes conditions that were previously considered separate — autism, Asperger's syndrome, childhood disintegrative disorder and an unspecified form of pervasive developmental disorder. Some people still use the term "Asperger's syndrome," which is generally thought to be at the mild end of autism spectrum disorder.

For treatment we recommend 20:1 ratio of CBD/THC

Overview

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a potentially disabling disease of the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system).

In MS, the immune system attacks the protective sheath (myelin) that covers nerve fibers and causes communication problems between your brain and the rest of your body. Eventually, the disease can cause permanent damage or deterioration of the nerves.

Signs and symptoms of MS vary widely and depend on the amount of nerve damage and which nerves are affected. Some people with severe MS may lose the ability to walk independently or at all, while others may experience long periods of remission without any new symptoms.

There's no cure for multiple sclerosis. However, treatments can help speed recovery from attacks, modify the course of the disease and manage symptoms.

The recommended dose is 20:1 CBD:THC ratio combination.

Overview

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (a-my-o-TROE-fik LAT-ur-ul skluh-ROE-sis), or ALS, is a progressive nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing loss of muscle control.

ALS often starts in the hands, feet or limbs, and then spreads to other parts of your body. As the disease advances and nerve cells are destroyed, your muscles get weaker. This eventually affects chewing, swallowing, speaking and breathing.

There's generally no pain in the early stages of ALS, and pain is uncommon in the later stages. ALS doesn't usually affect your bladder control or your senses.
